"Honestly makes my week easier"
Uh, it’s just really convenient. I don’t have to think too much about dinner, which makes the whole week feel a lot easier...
"The food was fine and showed up..."
The food was fine and showed up okay, no real complaints there. But the delivery tracking wasnt super clear. It sat on the same status for ages and then all of a sudden the driver was like, nearby. Not a huge deal, just a bit annoying when you're trying to time dinner.
"The cooking times are actually accurate"
I’ve tried a few meal kits before and the cooking times were always kind of a joke, like it would say 25 minutes and then somehow I’m still chopping things 40 minutes later, but with Hello Chef it’s been spot on for me and if a recipe says 30 minutes then it’s usually right around 30 minutes.
That makes weeknights so much easier because I can actually plan dinner without guessing how long I’ll be stuck in the kitchen, and the recipes are simple enough to follow too, but the thing I really appreciate most is that the timing feels realistic

"Meals that actually remind me of home"
I was surprised by how good these meals tasted. The flavors were fresh every time, and a few of them even reminded me of the kind of food I’d look forward to after a long day growing up. It just felt comforting and really satisfying.

"Decent meals, but the variety and wait could be better"
The meals are good overall, and there are definitely some nice options. I just wish there was more variety in the cuisines because it feels like the same styles keep coming back again and again. Also, waiting in the queue can get really annoying, especially when you’re already hungry. It’s not bad, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

"Good healthier options most weeks"
I’ve been using Hello Chef because I’m trying to eat a bit better without making a huge deal out of it, and I do like that they usually have lighter meals that aren’t all heavy or covered in cream. The portions have been fine for me too, so I don’t feel like I’m overeating just because it’s convenient. Some of the recipes can feel a little similar after a while, but for what I’m trying to do, it’s been a good option overall.

"Refund was handled insanely fast"
Had a little issue with my order, but they sorted the refund so quickly it couldn’t have been easier. No hassle at all, and I’m 100% sure this was one of the smoothest refund experiences I’ve ever had. Happy with how they handled it.
"Consistently fresh and worth it"
I’ve ordered from Hello Chef a handful of times now, and to be fair, they’ve been really consistent with the quality. The ingredients usually arrive super fresh, crisp veggies, herbs that actually look alive, and meat that looks good and ready to cook. It makes dinner after work way less of a hassle. I did get one tomato that was a bit soft once, but that can happen anywhere. Overall, I’ve been very happy with it.

I’ve been using Hello Chef for a few weeks now, and I’m happy with it so far. I’m usually careful about trying grocery or meal services because I don’t want to end up paying for stuff I don’t use, but the portions have been just right for me. Most of the packaging is recyclable too, which I appreciate, and I’ve noticed I’m throwing away a lot less food than I normally would with regular groceries.

"Pretty easy, though not always as quick as I expected"
I used hellochef.me for a few weeks, mostly on weeknights when I really didn’t want to stand in the kitchen wondering what to make, and overall I had a good experience. The recipes were usually simple enough to follow, and I really liked that the ingredients came portioned out because it made the whole thing feel much less chaotic after work. Not having to plan meals or measure out a bunch of random ingredients was one of the biggest reasons I kept using it.
That said, it wasn’t always quite as quick or effortless as I thought it would be. A few of the steps were more fiddly than I expected, especially when there was extra chopping or multiple pans involved, and the listed prep time sometimes felt a little optimistic. I still think it’s a good option and the food was generally tasty, but I’d describe it more as “helpful and convenient” than completely stress-free.

"Canceling was surprisingly painless"
I had to pause my hellochef plan for a while, it was totally fine. Like, very calm about it, obviously. No annoying phone calls, no confusing steps, nothing dramatic. It only took a few minutes, and the confirmation came through quickly. So yeah, actually really happy with how smooth it was.

"Pretty good, but changing orders is really a hassle"
I really like a lot of the meal options overall, but adjusting my order can be kind of annoying. Swapping meals works, but I wish everything was clearer before checkout, especially delivery dates and preferences. I had to go back a few times to fix stuff, which was frustrating. The food is usually fine, but the customization part just feels a little clunky. Not bad, not amazing either.

"Surprisingly easy recipes"
I’ll be honest, I was a little suspicious at first because recipe cards always claim to be “simple,” and then somehow you’re halfway through wondering what they forgot to mention. But these are actually clear. The steps are easy to follow, the timing is usually on point, and I don’t find myself guessing what to do next. Even after work when I’m tired and not in the mood to think too hard, I can still get dinner made without ruining it...

I like that the meals switch up every week. It makes ordering way easier, and I’m not just picking from the same old stuff all the time.

I’ve been happy with Hello Chef overall. The recipes are usually easy to follow, and the food turns out really tasty. Deliveries have mostly been on time too, which helps a lot on busy weeks. The only thing is, I’ve had a couple of boxes where something was missing, like herbs or a sauce packet. Support did sort it out, so that was fine, but it’s still frustrating when you’re already in the middle of cooking and realize something’s not there... I’ll keep using it, just hoping they double-check the packing a bit more

"Good meals, though the swaps can be a bit hit or miss"
I’ve been using Hello Chef for a while now, and overall I’ve had a good experience. The meals are tasty and easy enough to make, and compared to some other meal kits I’ve tried, the recipes usually feel a bit more practical for weeknights. The only thing is that ingredients do get swapped sometimes without much warning. Most of the time it still turns out fine, but now and then it’s not quite the meal I thought I was getting. Still happy with it overall — 4 stars from me.

"Not as easy to pause as I expected"
I originally thought skipping weeks would be super simple whenever my plans changed, but I felt a bit misled. It’s not a huge hassle once you figure it out, but it wasn’t as straightforward as I expected from how it was presented.

"Fresh stuff every time"
I’ve ordered from hellochef a few times now, I think since around March or maybe April, and the ingredients have always been really fresh. The veg never came looking old or soggy, which was my main worry, and the meat has been good too. Portions are decent, and it just makes dinner after work feel a lot less like a chore.

"I was waiting what felt like forever..."
I was waiting what felt like forever for a reply, which was a little agonizing, honestly. But when support finally got back to me, they did fix the issue, so at least the drama had a decent ending...

"Pretty handy once you get into the routine"
We’ve been using Hello Chef for a few weeks now, and at first I mostly just liked not having to think too much about what to cook after work. The recipes are straightforward, the portions have been decent for us, and it’s nice not ending up with random half-used ingredients sitting in the fridge.
Some meals do feel a bit more basic than others, so it’s not like every box feels fancy, but overall it’s been working out well. I actually realized after a while that we’re spending less than we usually do on last-minute grocery runs and takeaways, so for what you get, I’d say the price is fair.
